Tutorial Tuesday: Coastal Curtsy Ruffled Skirt by Katie of No Big Dill

Welcome back to Tutorial Tuesday! Every week we feature a tutorial that works exclusively with knit fabrics.  Be sure to check back every week and if you have a favorite tutorial of your own, we would love to share it with our readers. Email gcblog@girlcharlee.com your suggestions and tips and we might feature it on our blog!
This week we are featuring the Coastal Curtsy Skirt tutorial by Katie of No Big Dill. The skirt is sewn with ruffle stretch fabric and an elastic waist...which means it's super comfortable! We love the versatility of this cut. Extend the length to turn it into a maxi or shorten it to get ready for summer. With spring coming up, this skirt would be super cute in a bright color. Check out our fabric suggestions below!

Katie gives clear instructions along with close-up pictures in her easy peasy tutorial. Head on over to her blog for more pictures of the gorgeous skirt and find out how you can make your own.

The Coastal Curtsy Skirt is perfect for our stretch ruffle knit fabrics! Recreate this look with the Sweet Pink Stretch Ruffle Knit Fabric or opt for the statement-making Mustard Yellow Stretch Ruffle Knit Fabric. For a bold change, sew it up with Teal Blue and Black Tie Dye Stretch Ruffle Knit Fabric or our Black and White Stretch Ruffle Knit Fabric

  1. In this tutorial she uses a 2" ruffle fabric... Has anyone tried it with the 1"? Would it look just as good?
