Tutorial Tuesday: Floor-Length Infinity Dress by Angelina of DiaryofaMadCrafter

The only thing we love more than seeing our fabrics sewn into clothes is seeing our customers rock them! And with the infinity dress tutorial for this Tuesday, you can wear your dress an "infinite" number of ways. We've all seen this versatile and fashionable dress and the hundreds of ways you can adjust the straps to create different styles, but here is how to make your own.
Would you believe that this Victoria's Secret-inspired dress is actually really easy to make?  Angelina of Diary of a Mad Crafter gives a detailed explanation in her DIY Floor Length Infinity Dress tutorial. She says that even those who only have the most basic sewing skills can sew this. No patterns needed--just your fabric, a few measurements and you're good to go!

The secret to making a fantastic infinity dress is finding a fabric with the perfect stretch and recovery. Those straps are going to be twisted, braided, and draped in every different style so make sure you find the right knit!  The dress would be perfect in our Deep Turquoise Blue Solid Cotton Spandex Knit Fabric or go for a bold True Red Solid Cotton Lycra Knit Fabric. Of course, you can never have too many striped dresses, and our Black and Natural White Stripe Cotton Spandex Knit is perfect for an infinity. Be brave and rock it in our Chartreuse Green Solid Cotton Spandex Knit Fabric!

Have you made an infinity dress before? Tell us all about it in the comments and if you have sewn anything with Girl Charlee Fabrics, send 1-2 images to gcblog@girlcharlee.com with your name and a URL you want us to link to. We might publish it on our blog!

Until next time...keep sewing!
